As usual, every spring we head out in search of bluebonnets. This year, due to the late blooming season, I decided to change my strategy and head out to a different area. After driving around and not seeing much bluebonnet, I almost ran off the road when I saw this huge field of Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrushes. I quickly parked and ran into the field to check it out. The flower patch was really thick, and the flowery scent hung in the air. The field was so big that I had to drive to get to the other side of the field for better light. Not a bad start to kick off the bluebonnet season!
